Hello, reader. Thanks for stopping by. Here you'll find pop culture oozing out of the page, funky finds, criticisms, funny vids/pics, and just whatever I want to entertain you with.
Don't ask questions. Just take what I give you. Trust me, you'll like it.
I found this really cute collection of bags on EBAGS.com. The designer's name is Vera Bradley and she has lots of retro, 60's floral prints on all of her stuff.
Okay, just in: Michael Jackson just released a 25th anniversary special of his beloved album, "Thriller" and it has some fuuuunky tracks on it. By far, the best track is "Wanna Be Starting Something" feat. Akon. It is sweet! Other artists that remixed include Fergie, Will.i.am, and Kanye on tracks such as "PYT", "Beat It" and "Billie Jean". Oooh you gotta love it!!

I was watching something last night..something, I can't remember, and I decided to turn on the news for a bit to wait for TMZ to come on. All of a sudden I see these headlines on the screen saying a madman went on a killing spree in Kirkwood, MO and shot 5 people. The shooter was eventually shot dead, but holy cow! This kind of stuff doesn't usually happen in Missouri, let alone Kirkwood. It's a small, ritzy suburb of St. Louis, not freaking LA!
Apparently, after watching hours of coverage, the shooter, Charles Lee "Cookie" Thornton, had gotten very upset at the city of Kirkwood because they had been issuing him tickets and citations for parking his commercial vehicles outside his home, among other things, I'm sure. But he just ended a lawsuit with the city in which he tried to sue them, claiming it went against his rights. He lost.
Only a week after the lawsuit ended, Cookie shows up during a city council meeting late last night and decides to kill all those whom he disliked. (Apparently, he had over $18,000 in unpaid tickets.) He had always been known to be disruptive at meetings and was infact thrown out several times. The council members wanted to ban him from meetings, but the mayor didn't want to stoop that low.
Cookie's brother said in a statement that Cookie "went to war" with the city, and unfortunately this was the outcome. He killed 2 officers, 3 council members, and injured the mayor and several others(The mayor is currently in surgery). The 3 council members, 1 officer and the mayor were all shot in the head. Pretty brutal if you ask me. This man had some serious problems.
I feel very sorry for the families of all the victims who died, especially the officers that were killed. The one officer was coming out of the Imo's restaurant and was apparently shot in his back in the parking lot. Cookie took his gun and ran across the street to city hall and ended more lives over there. Very unfortunate.
I think if Cookie had problems with the city, he should've moved. I also think these city council meetings should now be more locked down. I'm very upset that this happened and hopefully it will never happen again, anywhere. God bless.
Well, he's not president--yet. But he will be soon enough.
Today in Missouri, moments before the 12 o'clock hour, it was announced that Obama had won my state. It was a close call all night as I watched Hillary's numbers rise and rise. But finally, nearing the end, they tallied the results and found Obama to be the winner. WAHOO!!
I'm so happy for him because I think he'd be a great president. His views on things are so fresh and he seems to be very educated and on top of things.
Come November, I will gladly vote for Obama. Heck with Hillary and McCain. (Not to mention 'Chuckabee' and Mr. Mitt.)
I made a new blog, yo. It's all about my cats.
