Hello, reader. Thanks for stopping by. Here you'll find pop culture oozing out of the page, funky finds, criticisms, funny vids/pics, and just whatever I want to entertain you with.
Don't ask questions. Just take what I give you. Trust me, you'll like it.
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving! I know I cut back on my usual 2nd helping this time, compared to other years where I just ate and ate and ate...and then burst.
I've been listening to Live365 a lot lately. First of all, the music on the radio sucks. You don't get any variety whatsoever. Online you have bajillions upon bajillions of stations to choose from. So, me being in the Christmas mood, I went on Live365 and found a few great channels to listen to.
One of them is called Christmas Music 24/7 and they play lots of variety. New and old, all your faves and many more. Give them a listen.
The other station I just tried for the first time today(it just went live Nov. 18th), entitled Motown Christmas, is great for all of you R&B fans out there. Personally, I think the traditional Christmas music is overly caucasian, and myself being caucasian, I hate it. You pretty much have to be a super cornball to enjoy the classic songs they constantly play day after day. But, because I love a good beat and classic oldies, I love this Motown channel. Some of my fave songs are by Motown artists! I highly recommend this channel if you're wanting some flava in your earbuds.
Yes, it's true! I've updated my blog yet again. I just wasn't feeling the last layout very much. This new look is sort of holiday mixed with summer fun, so I hope it's not too stupid to look at for anyone. Let me know what you think.
(Oh, and visit my sponsors on the bottom left! Thanks!!)
For Veterans Day, I want you to thank a veteran. That's the greatest thing you could ever do. Hearing a "Thanks" makes a veteran feel proud for serving his or her country.
Your second task today would be to purchase a Memorial Bracelet, honoring those who have served, and those that are still missing. A portion of the proceeds from each sale goes to families of the heroes and victims of terrorism, and it also pays respect to our fallen soldiers.
I know what it's like to have a veteran in the family. My father served in Vietnam and he's thankful for each day he's alive. He lost many of his friends and will never forget the things he experienced.
So even if you don't personally know a veteran, or maybe if you do, get a bracelet to honor them and help out others. Go to Memorial Bracelets . com.
Well, I'm not one of those people who sent in an absentee ballot. I'm actually going at 7 AM tomorrow to stand in line for my very first vote in a presidential election.
Over the weekend I did my part and went door to door, reminding people to vote. I signed up with my local Obama office and we passed out door fliers to a few neighborhoods in the area. Where I live is a predominantly McCain area, so work HAD to be done.
This is a very important election. Go tomorrow and vote. I know I am!
Just go. No questions asked.
