Hello, reader. Thanks for stopping by. Here you'll find pop culture oozing out of the page, funky finds, criticisms, funny vids/pics, and just whatever I want to entertain you with.
Don't ask questions. Just take what I give you. Trust me, you'll like it.
I'm so sad to say this, but my fave show from the late 90's boy band era is going off the air soon. Yes, it's MTV's infamous video countdown show, TRL. Once hosted by Carson Daly, it used to be the most watched show in its day for teens. We'd watch Britney, Eminem, Nsync, BSB, Xtina, any many others stop by to say hello. (And then pose in the photobooth!)
I would always rush home to watch this show and if I was lucky, I'd get there before the honorable mentions. Heck, if I was really lucky, the video I wanted to be #1 was...#1. In those days, I'd call in for "Bye Bye Bye" or "Oops..". Those days are long gone. Now I'm embarrassed to even say I like Britney. (Liked..)
So, as the show nears its 10th and final birthday, I'd just like to wish a fond farewell. Thanks for all the daily countdowns, the black finger nails of Carson, surprise visits from celebs, the shoutouts in the corner, the streetviews of helpless fans, the home-made signs...ahhh. Memories.
(If you want to re-live the TRL photobooth memories, buy the book on Amazon.)
