Hello, reader. Thanks for stopping by. Here you'll find pop culture oozing out of the page, funky finds, criticisms, funny vids/pics, and just whatever I want to entertain you with.
Don't ask questions. Just take what I give you. Trust me, you'll like it.
Whilst surfing the Perez Hilton website, I saw a banner for this website called "Plastic Land". So I clicked, looked, and now I'm hooked. Somebody buy me a brooch or bangle, please!!
Go now: ShopPlasticLand.com and use coupon code "PEREZ" to save 10% off your order!. Yippie!
According to this article, you can save lots of money during the Holidays and also spend it too! (No, really.)
Trees: Recycle them after the holidays to become mulch or replant them in your yard.
Lights: Go LED!
Gifts: Instead of useless crap, donate to a charity on behalf of a family member or bake some cookies and put them inside a nifty gift box.
Wrapping: Use recycled materials to jazz up those presents. (VCR tape curls well. Who knew?)
Ornaments: Make your own with items from around the house.
Wreaths: Soda cans make a great door ornament.
Table Decor: Choose bamboo and you can't go wrong.
Candles: Choose beeswax over paraffin. Turn off the lights and eat by candlelight.
Now, I'm not asking you to change your lifestyle. But since the economy is...oh, how should I say this...fucked...um, well, you could start pinching pennies and still be hip. You can do it! (I know I'm going to try.)
About a week ago, I got into another one of those "I want to buy everything I see" modes. I just got back from vacation with a few of my souveniers and I wanted more, dammit! So I've been watching HSN, the Gem channel, QVC, shopping online for summer clearance specials. And you bet your bottom dollar I'm using coupon codes! They're the greatest thing since hot pants. Ohh baby!
I've actually really been impressed with HSN's website, more so than QVC or the Gem Channel. (They're getting there--eventually.) But they have absolutely amazing deals on hip jewelry and other kinds of trinkets. I wish I had a millionaire hubby so I could buy everything on there.
Here's the thing though: Have you ever felt that everything you like is always the most expensive item? ME TOO! OMG! It's always that way, everywhere I go. I must have expensive taste, but I certainly don't pay those kinds of prices!
Ooh! But I did get a good deal today. My first ever HSN purchase of my very own. An All-In-One Lexmark Printer/Scanner/Copier/Fax, with the ink and some free scrapbooking software. $88, FREE SHIPPING, and I used Flex-Pay! Thank you. Thank you very much.
So anywho, my overall point I was trying to get across in this post is that: A - Work for your discounts, ladies. Search the web for lower prices and coupon codes. Use what god gave you! B - HSN isn't just for old ladies. They have lots of other things besides gold bejeweled belts and wrinkle creams.
Just go. No questions asked.
