Hello, reader. Thanks for stopping by. Here you'll find pop culture oozing out of the page, funky finds, criticisms, funny vids/pics, and just whatever I want to entertain you with.
Don't ask questions. Just take what I give you. Trust me, you'll like it.
I've been listening to AccuRadio for many years now. They rock! They have a station for every genre of music. And if you don't like a certain artist, you can take them out of the playlist.
For the holiday season, I'll be listening to AccuRadio Holidays. They're #1 on the web for Christmas music. Whether you like the classics, R&B, rock, or whatever, they have a Christmas station for you!
Whilst surfing the Perez Hilton website, I saw a banner for this website called "Plastic Land". So I clicked, looked, and now I'm hooked. Somebody buy me a brooch or bangle, please!!
Go now: ShopPlasticLand.com and use coupon code "PEREZ" to save 10% off your order!. Yippie!
I have been going to this website since I was a kid. It has great activities for the kids and you can ever write a letter to Santa! Plus, on Dec. 24, NORAD lets you track Santa on his journey around the world. For moms, they have recipes and gift ideas. It's just a cute website that the whole family will enjoy.
Remember, Christmas is right around the corner. Are you ready?
According to this article, you can save lots of money during the Holidays and also spend it too! (No, really.)
Trees: Recycle them after the holidays to become mulch or replant them in your yard.
Lights: Go LED!
Gifts: Instead of useless crap, donate to a charity on behalf of a family member or bake some cookies and put them inside a nifty gift box.
Wrapping: Use recycled materials to jazz up those presents. (VCR tape curls well. Who knew?)
Ornaments: Make your own with items from around the house.
Wreaths: Soda cans make a great door ornament.
Table Decor: Choose bamboo and you can't go wrong.
Candles: Choose beeswax over paraffin. Turn off the lights and eat by candlelight.
Now, I'm not asking you to change your lifestyle. But since the economy is...oh, how should I say this...fucked...um, well, you could start pinching pennies and still be hip. You can do it! (I know I'm going to try.)
I know it's only October 17 as I write this, but all around me, I feel like things are trying to push me towards the Christmas holiday. And why not? With only two months to go until December 25th, I better start shopping, right?!? Heck, this one radio station around here started playing Christmas music last week! I cannot believe it. I like that music--when it's in season. Not right after summer and before Halloween.
But anyways, I did it. I officially kicked off MY Christmas shopping season. I bought a niece piece 'o art on Deviant Art. Although most artists on there are independent and unknown, I think they have some awesome work, with lots and lots of untapped talent.
Hey, hey, hey! I found a really sweet website for all you nifty, thrifty gals out there.
She has lots of floral prints, strawberries, parisian, shabby chic, etc. Oh it's all delightful. I want to buy everything, but it's sooo over my budget. Perhaps you could snag a coin purse at least...
(Oh, and being a graphic design major, I absolutely adore her logo.)
